Hi, everybody, is it important for one website to be hosted on a local server for the local search engines. I want to run a website in Bulgaria, for Bulgarian audience. Will it be better to host it there or it doesn't matter at all?

I have a Russian .ru site and it's US hosted. As far as I am aware it makes no difference where the site is hosted. The site is ranked well in the major search engines that matter in Russia. More important is having .ru and the pages in Russian.
