Next week will be European Search Engines Forum week at WebmasterWorld.

We have been excited about the possibilities for this forum since its early days. Moderator Jan Rencke and our regular members of the Euro Forum, have assembled the largest collection of specific Euro search engine information anywhere on the web. A special thank you to the many members who have contributed to this cause. It continues to be an education. If you been waiting for someone to "lay it all out" for you, it's here.

The forum of the week feature is an opportunity for WebmasterWorld members to focus on one issue for a whole week. Sometimes that can be an issue they never would have considered otherwise.

When it comes to the European forums, most of us (even the old pros) are just getting our feet wet - so, don't be shy. Please drop into the Euro forum and see where you can contribute.

Thanks for the kind words Brett.

Here is the schedule. Monday morning there will be two new and very large posts:

An Europe overview with basic facts, demographics and domain rules for all 53 countries and autonomous regions in Europe. This is a big update of the overview from October last year containing all the latest figures that I have been able to find.

An European SEO Strategy Primer. Comments on a vast range of issues pertaining to search engine optimization in Europe and intended as a small reference handbook.

Hopefully, these two posts will kick off a lively discussion among the members and perhaps also inspire entirely new discussions.

During the rest of the week, I will be updating most of the country discussions with the new facts found during the research for the overview and - hopefully - that will induce lurkers from many countries to contribute additional knowledge.

Looking forward to Rencke's research type white book postings about the european scene. Non-europeans who are interested in this increasing market should really enjoy this.
