I'm looking for advice on what shopping cart software to buy.
I would like one where I can adjust the look and feel to suit the look of my customers website.
The site I am currently working on only has one product.
Is their a good package out there for developers getting into the ecommerce market.......where I could use a package to develope other sites aswell.
I've seen Actinic but It might be too advanced for what I need. Most of my customer base would only have between 0-50 people working for them.
Any advice greatly appreciated

If you are a developer have you considered just developing your own? Shopping carts and payment systems are not hard to build. You can make a basic cart system that you can easily customize for individual customers. I built my cart and payment system for my site, it wasn't as difficult as I expected to be. Anyway, just a thought.
Good Luck
I use ClickCartPro - it's written in Perl, easily customizable both functionwise and style-wise. It will run on Windows or *nix servers. It's also got features that will accomodate a wide variety of uses. The developer of the cart is constantly improving it, and they have an active forum.
Like Harwich said, you could roll your own... In my case, the time saved by not developing it myself has been time I've been able to spend on marketing my services - and doing more sites. You know your situation best. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice and info guys,
Since alot of the week is spent in other areas such as marketing / admin etc, I don't have the time to develop my own one.....eventhough i would love to!
I look forward to checking out the ones you have recommended.
It would be great to find the 'bones' of a cart and design and model to suit as each customer has need.
Thanks Again,
Barry
