Why is etrade successful?

What makes eTrades' business model so successful, and why doesn't other companies "steal" the model?

If you are, ill tell you why, I have used the site since 1998, its cheap reliable and provides upto the second information.

For exactly the reasons Ive mentioned.

Tell you the truth it was the first site that I came across, it did exactly what I wanted it to at a price I could afford.

I have since looked at other site and found their layouts a touch tricky to use.
