We have a very successful website/eCommerce site. Sales have gone up by $100k every yr for the three yrs that we have had the system onine. We have also been named the website of the month by the CPA Journal(We sell tax products) and have been reviewed by WebDex and given a very favorable rating.

However, despite all this, there is a political struggle with in the company and upper management wants our eCommerce portion of the site to run on a Seibel interface.
I don't know of anyone doing this. Can anyone say they are currently doing this?......or are we cutting our throats by going down this path?

Uh-oh, bad news. I've never seen a "politically" driven project that was really successful

>> Seibel interface

Got me there. Can you explain a bit more about what it is / does? I know of Siebel, but I've never knowingly seen anywhere using it. I thought Siebel was a CRM house?

Tell me about it. Our Web department is in Tx and the Marketing and Operations Dept. is in NY. They want a piece of our pie. Since Upper Management is in NY and Operations is there also, they want to decide what we use. And they use Seibel as a CRM, however they have convinced UM that they can implement Seibel as an eCommerce piece for our site.

I also have never heard of anyone implementing any type of Seibel eCommerce and I think that we are doomed and our site will really be the victim in all this mess.

Now I am venting! I just wanted to know if anyone had heard of a Seibel eCommerce site out there. Some Seibel programmers here think that they might have a chance at accomplishing it but I highly doubt it. They never get projects done on time and are constantly have troubles.
