Anyone out there setup websites and e-commerce for Swiss companies? I am researching the archives and the internet for information but everything seems to relate to US and UK companies.
Merchant Account:
I need to obtain an online merchant account and wonder if someone can suggest a Swiss Bank with reasonable fees for this. Our accounts are ONLY in switzerland and we must keep them here.
Payment Gateway:
Any recommendations for a payment gateway that will work with Swiss only accounts?
We have:
approx 500 transactions/yr, international customers
wish to process in swiss francs only (sfr) and can consider euro
Suggestions or advice is really appreciated!

Hmm, unless Switzerland has some pretty off-the-wall legal requirements (which it may well do), the process should be more or less the same as in the US/UK

People with Swiss bank accounts aren't likely to shout about it. It feels a bit too much like painting a target on your back to me....
I am sure that the "high street" banks in Switzerland will offer these services, check with whoever does your business banking. If they don't offer the service, they will know (or should do) which banks do

Shopping around is the answer. Having a business plan (or something that could pass for one in a bad light) would probably help a lot

Got me there. I am sure that the big gateways cope with Switzerland already, and cope with Euro and Swiss Francs already too. Checking up on your favourite Swiss ecomm sites, and look for the little graphics at the cart that specifies which gatways are supported
