Is it worth joining Commission Junction?

We are thinking of commission junction but are very worried about the cost. Besides the US$2250 set-up fee, there is a minimum monthly transaction charge of $500.

As we sell electronic products, we cannot offer a high rate of commission. A rough calculation is that we would need to achieve US$17000 in sales in order to meet the $500 target. That means essentially doubling our current turnover.

Commission Junction itself states that sales can be expected to increase by 10-40% with their program. This sort of increase would in no cover the $500 charge. Even if it were possible to double our sales with CJ, I am still very worried about the initial few months.

I wonder if anybody can give advice on this?, especially from those who sells electronic products. If CJ is not viable, what would be the alternatives. Is there any other systems that could integrate easily with Mal's?

Commission junction seem very expensive.
Here is a cheaper alternative, not tried it but looks ok and offers a FREE trial.
prices are from £25.00 per month.

If I was you id spend the money on PPC engines a much beter bet.

Thanks for the info. I found out that there may be problems in integrating a third party solution into Mal's cart and Worldpay. After doing more research, I have signed up for clixgalore.com who said they will do the integration for us. Their program only requires $75 with no monthly minimum spend.

If that is successful, I will certainly be looking for other programs such as darkblue, myreferrer and clickexhange. CJ is just too risky for us at the moment
