Can an Affiliate Program from a famous brand improve my site image?

My online store is lack of sell. I don't know why. Can an Affiliate Program from a famous brand e.g. Amazon.com improve my site image? Any other tips to increase sell?

It is common fact that a big brand will help to sell but online it is not just brand that you have to concider. If you for example want to sell books through amazon then what I would do is to use text links as oposed to standard direct banners. You might write a review of a book. Write about it, get your reader interested then offer a "buy this book here" link. Writting the review will also give you content, In general content is king, If you offer loads of content that is on topic you will get referals from search engines with people searching for keywords within your topic. I think peopel are far to used to seeing the amazon banner to simply click through and buy something. If you give them something to attract them in the first place you are half way to making a sale. Treat your pages as if they are a sales rep, make your pages sell, have all the info the user wants within that page. The last thing you want is someone to arrive from a se and click the back button.
