Hi

We are considering advertising in a UK shopping portal.

MSN looks like a good bet, but am unsure whether it will give good ROI.

We are using kelkoo at the moment, which is going ok, so we are looking for another portal to get greater exposure.

Does anyone have any feedback/traffic/experience with shopping portals? I have tried site search but cannot seem to find any results on this.

Many Thanks in Advance

Gibbon,

you could try Dealtime, not sure how good that is compared to Kelkoo, they sure spend some money getting quality traffic.

what about Yahoo and the like.

Have never tried MSN shopping, but other paid advertising with them resulted in a very good ROI, and they have some serious traffic.

Good luck and do keep us informed.

Gibbon,

any ideas how MSN shoppings pricing works.

whats the deal?

Is it similar to Kelkoo and Dealtime, basically CPC or what?

Not sure on price tbh ... part of reason for post ;)

Some of my competitors use MSN Shopping so should not be out of my price range.

Kelkoo is relatively cheap to be fair to it. Seem to be desperate for more merchants.

Expect MSN to be MUCH more expensive. Esp given its write up in latest Business Week article - entitled "Its Europe's top portal & its widening its lead" stuff about its dominance in europe, and ability to get higher ad rev growth than competitors.

AOL option too.

Yahoo Shopping is V pricey I know - they talk of £20k 6 month commitments.

Will keep you guys posted...

Kelkoo has won the contract to do MSN shopping, as of end of June. So if you're not to bothered waiting for a few months...
