I noticed Webmasterworld uses it for paid subscription. So, I was wondering if anyone here has experience with this.

I would like the form to allow advertisers to select the number of visitors for purchase.

Thanks.

I have been using 2CO since 2001 and have forgiven them much in terms of poor customer service. Just this week, they crossed the line with me and just as soon as I can re-code my site for a new provider, I'm gone. Their infrastructure is unreliable, responsiveness is non-existent. Can no longer recommend them.

I have been using 2checkout for almost two years, and have a love/ hate relationship with them. They have a very good shopping cart with a lot of features, I like their admin area also. But like the previous post, there support is the worst I have ever experienced ( if you can even call it support) I have tried to register for the 2checkout forums now for 3 months , waiting back for the confirmation email that lets me log in. Many many problems.....An alternative is Paysystems, they pay quicker and have much much better support, even phone support. Their shopping cart isnt as good as 2checkouts tho, you will probably have to use your own script. I have 4 customers sites with them and so far so good.

Dont overlook authorize.net though, I am getting to believe that a real CC processor ( not 3rd party like 2checkout or Paysystems) is the way to go, and have a couple dozen sites with authorize.net

We used to use 2CO and had to put up with a lot of bad and rude customer service. We finally had enough when their negligence costed us more than US$2000 in fraudulent orders. We are now using Worldpay and their service is exenplery.

There is another system you can look at which offers the same fee structure as 2CO. www.paysystems.com

However, we do not have any experience with them.

AVOID IT!

I had quite fast and short experience with this 2chekout.com.

Our story is: I have paid that 49 USD setup, logged in, browse the admin part, made notes what to do with it, etc. and log out. For your info: the site signed with them plans to sell ebooks and maps.

In 1 hour after payment I received the folowing letter from them:
===========
<snip>
=============

What?! I said. I wrote them back immediately saying what are you talking about? We even did not set up anything yet. I also asked them gently to name themselves when they communicate with their customers.

The next day I was trying to login without any success. they deleted my account obviously.

They never replied back, they never replied my messages regarding log in, regarding cancellation of my account and refund of the set up fees. I am sure they will never do.

In my book, they are scam, pure and simple. take a look at their site and try to find out info how to contact them or any explanation about their 30 days money back guarantee, etc. Of course they are members of BBBonline, who cares? it does not help one anyway to get ones money back. So I have to call my bank to chargeback which hopefully be of success.

Well, they are not a scam, I have dozens od customers that are very happy with their service. They are one of the few companies in the world that have had such explosive success that they cant keep up with it.

We all would like to be in that position.
However, their tech support, or any support for that matter is NON EXISTANT

That is why last week I switched to Paysystems.com for all my corporate payment processing. SO FAR they have been wonderful, in fact almost too good to be true.

They have live chat support, telephone support ( with wait times average approx 3 minutes for my questions)and a great reseller plan!

What may happen tho, is that they will be so successful that they will fall behind with all the new customers they are getting, that their service will become like that of 2checkout and others.

Paysystems, is for now , the flavor-of-the-month when it comes to 3rd party payment processors, I heartily recommend them, but keep watching for the hot new kid on the block, and go with who's hot.... you will get better service

I can not suggest 2checkout.com as payment processor. They are cheap, they look good until you do not experience and loose money and customers. There is no support. Hardly you get the replies of your support request. If you receive reply that is hardly any of use. I have some cases recently experienced with 2checkout.com - One of customer tries to make payment for the service. On completion of payment process screen shows authorization failure. But customer was charged and charges were in his bank statement. There is no support from 2checkout for this.

2nd case - some of my recurring bill transaction should take place as per schedule. But there is no failure or no payment about them. There is no reply for support request from 2checkout.com. I do not know what should I do with those accounts.

This way so many cases. I am loosing money there. I am going to switch over to some other service.

HI, just wanted to add my 2 cents.
I found this thread after typing "<snip>" in Google because today we got full pack of sh*t emotions because of them.

1. They fail to check credit cards correctly and issue numerous chargebacks. Even in case you successfully dispute one, they will still issue a refund.
Example: 2 customers bought software packages from us for 540 and 800 US dollars. We delivered it. Customers called 2checkout and said that they didn't place this order - this is it. Refund has been issued! More to say - we were fined 29 USD per each order. Now, we have been working installing this software, we paid them 50$ for account and now our balance is : -58 $ (!)

2. They fail to process some reputable credit cards - we have a customer that wants to make payment and we are asking for help from them (payments for doesn't accept address) but they don't bother to respond. At all.

3. We had a chargeback dispute and it was resolved and was stopped... but after 2 months 2checkout eventually issued a chargeback without even asking us! They just charged us with 29$ fine.

They simply fail to do their job right and in order to keep making money, they just fine their merchants and subscribe new.

The bottom line is simple: NEVER USE 2checkout

I wrote them a letter today, with everything I think about them. But... I'm not sure they're going to respond.

Just looking at that ridiculous reserve, discount rate and interval of when they actually pay you is enough to make me run very very far away from them. You'd probably be better off using paypal.

As a consumer, I stay away from any site that uses it. I had troubles with them when I was purchasing a couple of books. They kept telling my my address was wrong, and to click back and try again. Now that was a noob mistake I admit... I was charged 5 times! The address was correct, their system sucked.
*My two cents... for what it's worth.*

my exprience is bad, bad, bad. Not because I use them for merchant acount, but that I paid someone in vietnam for hsoting services and the vietnam company uses 2checkout.

My sites with them were down for many days, and every week? Can you imagine that?

And I had to cancel the account with them.

But then, I still get recurring bill from 2Checkout!

I had to shout and shout, using bad language and legal threat to finally have my account cancelled.

I wrote to them (the vietnam cpmpany and 2checkout) as "if you do not cancel my account and still charge me recurring bills, I will put up web site to broadcast their bad services, I will write to google, message boards, newsgroup...."
