I am new to eCommerce, I have a domain hosted on a normal hosting package at aplus.net but i actually need that whole domain to be in a https:// protocol, can anyone plzzz explain to me how i can do this. As i have no knowledge about SSL and whats involved etc.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

lindajames,
Whew, that's a loaded question!

SSL is a security protocol. Are you sure you need to wrap up the entire site in SSL? For more info on SSL visit [rsasecurity.com...]

To use SSL you need two pieces. 1 is a digital certificate and the other is a call to the SSL using HTTPS instead of HTTP. In otherwords, all of the links to pages within your website must use absolute links like this [yoursite.com...]

To learn more on digital certificates go to [thawte.com...]

Just noted my own mistake - that protocol should be https!
