We've been contacted several times now by some companies trying to sell us the following "product": first they sell some so-called parental-control software to consumers, then they sell keywords to businesses, and when people type in those keywords into the search engines, they go directly to the website of the business who bought the keywords; they never see the complete search results from the search engines. Has this happened to anyone else?

Ive had these calls also, the most recent call when I was entertaining them I said, ok show me where a keyword you sold shows up #1. He told me, ok goto google and type in xxx, you will see 'xxx' i told him, no i see aaaa he said, oh you must not have our software installed, goto xxxxxx.com and an install window will pop-up press yes. i said, no. He told me they bundle their 'technology' in file-sharing products, aka spyware ;)

The really sad part is that there are and will be plenty of suckers who buy into this scam. What a can of worms this opens for them - and for us.
