Which cart?

Looking for suggestions from experienced users for a shopping cart that integrates into html pages without being intrusive, just a button to add to cart/view cart. X-cart seems like a standalone website in itself, you buy the cart you have to run the whole program as your website, I'm looing for something more akin to paypal where you paste code into a page and get just the cart buttons, with the database hidden behind the scenes. Prefer it work with paypal pro.

ShopSite can just use buy buttons and view cart functionality on regular html pages. It supports Paypal Pro as well.

phpcart from phpcart dot net uses buttons as you require but no database.
Its cheap but does require some work and knowledge of php / html

you can also try zencart. The beauty is that it's open source.

Thanks, I'll look into those options. Zencart looks interesting (because it's free), but not sure they integrate with paypal web payments pro.

Regarding paypal web payments pro; do I need coding skills to impliment this, or do they have a dumbed down install like paypal standard? I have little coding experience, just a little experience hacking to make slight changes to existing scripts.

This integrates with paypal and also, has its own secure encryption.

Try AspDotNetStorefront, if you want the ability to make tweaks to the C# source code. They don't charge a monthly fee.

They are adding support for Google Checkout next week.

Mals looks pretty good, the price is right, even for the pro version if I want to use paypal pro.
