Hey Mat I took a look at swreg but they are one too expensive and I have already gone with paypal and 2 check out.

What I really want to know is the download code that would call the file that I have on the server for some one to down load

There are plenty of free modules for free shopping carts that make selling downloadable content a breeze. I'm just afraid that you might want some more sophisticated controls, features, and protection than you realize.

If you compare a downloadable material module for Wordpress and ZenCart, they will be a bit different, but both will have hundreds if not thousands of lines of code.

Are you using a shopping cart?

I'm not so sure that what you need is a code that works like some sort of a magic bullet. What you need is a basic knowledge of how to set up a download page. You will need to name your download page a complicated name otherwise it's pretty easy for a hacker to locate your page and download your product. In relation to the name create a nested directory which also helps with hackers. Also, create an index.htm page for each folder, change your download links often and hide your download links from the search engines or they will turn up in them and people can just download your PDF for free.

I forgot to mention that once you upload your PDF all you have to do to enable the download is to place a link on your web page that points to the PDF file. The other measures I mentioned previously would help protect the link for the PDF purchase/download process.
