Looking for shopping cart

Need shipping cost available without full billing address

I'm looking for an open source or low cost shopping cart for a (very) low volume/sales online store.

One of my biggest beefs about osCommerce (and I think zenCart) is that it's difficult for customers to get shipping costs without entering their billing information.

My core requirements are:
-Linux compatable (Java or PHP)
-Shipping costs without entering billing address (I can understand zip code)
-PayPal and/or Google Checkout, since I don't have a merchant account.

Does such a cart exist without major hacking of an existing package?

Shopsite, which isn''t too expensive) and probably many others can give shipping just based on zip.

How about fixed rate shipping? Good option if you're not shipping worldwide and your products are similar to each other.

Shipping weight of product will be from as heavy as 10+ pounds, to small/light enough to fit in a first class envelope, so flat rate is an issue. I could however build a best guess average shipping cost into the price of the items.

Shopsite is certainly a great cart. Full featured. Very flexible. Constant upgrades. A large and savvy group of users. Long operating history. It isn't free or dirt cheap, however. It comes in three levels of sophistication at three levels of cost.

I know it has many, many shipping options: By weight, cost, package size (I think), by country and by state. But we use the simplest of all, fixed rate, so I'm no expert on that aspect of the program.
