I am a current Monstercommerce customer using the cart for my gift site, has anyone else had a hard time getting good SEO through this cart?

yes - it seems their template code is too cluttered and makes the pages unclean. I'm switching personally - and their seo html catalog option sent those pages into supplemental land for me.
