Good Wholesaler Site?

Would like to ask for ecommerce operator their opinion.

I have been looking for good wholesaler sites, and found sites that contain bunch of trash.

Does anyone know of any? It doesn't have to be drop ship only, but should be at true wholesale price.

Also as an ecommerce retailer, should you own your own product? As in, should you do the purchasing of those products yourself, deal with the inventory and everything?

Well conventional wisdom says that you shouldn't because there're so much risks invovled which could easily be avoid if supplier agree to drop ship.

However, in the low margin online world today, it seems like if you don't have your own product which you either make or import yourself, there is not enough margins to be made.

If your in teh UK, or indeed fancy a trip over, go to the spring and Autumn fair at the Birmingham NEC.

They run for a week around 15th September and 5th of January, if you cant find a wholesaler there give up!

I second that.

I went to the Spring Fair this year and you are spoilt for choice. You can see some great product lines and they are itching for your business.

Your time and money is much better spent on a day trip there than a day trawling through second rate 'Wholesale Directories'.

I find that network marketing allows a very low cost opportunity for a wholesale to retail mark-up of about 30%.

I market the websites for people who want to start out in ecommerce. The products are shipped to over 40 countries, but all this is automated. I just collect the cheque at the end of the month from the company that made the site.

I'm always happy to introduce people into the business.
