I sell paintings on Ebay switched to them after suffering massive problems with electronic items being stolen via fraud, until today Ive never had anyone attempt fraud on a painting.... Until today.
Someone 'bookmarked' a painting, its crap had it years so I offered 50% off then the interested party came back with a a dodgy email, dodgy as it sounded like someone who isnt an Englishman, from the wording of their email. A bit Nigerian prince style....
Then said he wanted a reduced shipping cost on several others, I agreed, so he then bookmarks 10 other paintings. All of these painting have no theme or style to the rest they showed interest in. I have had this happen before but the English was perfect and the buyer explained they needed them for a show house on a newbuild estate.
Ebay username is a set of weird numbers eg 012451yus all very odd, yet to checkout the feedback for the buyer.
I think this is fraud, do you ?
