Argh! Paying credit card balances online - Every effort is hanging

Is there a "last banking day of the month" system wide lag? Word of DDOS?

Either everyone in the world is attempting to access or pay their credit card accounts online or there is a system wide glitch (DDOS?) going on right now.

I've attempted to pay 3 different credit cards with 3 different banks and in each case the payment interface is hanging big time.

Any word on a system with credit card glitch for Friday April 28 or a DDOS? Maybe this is "the big one" - the assault on the system?

Yep, and it's a double dose: end of the month and a Friday. So there's activity with people who get paid by the week and those who get paid by the month. Hadn't heard of this specifically affecting online payments, but it can drag down other banking functions, so very possible.

Watch out for June 30 and September 29 this year - end of week, end of month, and end of quarter. To say nothing of December 29! I wonder how often that happens - all four quarters in a year ending on Fridays (also March 31)?
