OK, I need to flame a bit here. I'm in Texas. I'm traveling to the west coast and I'd like to see a sports game. I got to the site for the team I'm interested in, and the game time is listed as 3pm. NIce, I say! I have a commitment from 12:30-2pm. I'm looking forward to it. But I want to go with a friend who lives near there, and he says, but, but, I see the game listed as 1pm! Holy crap. Of course, what's going on is that when I consult the schedule from Texas, I'm being given times in CST, and the game is in PST. Oh, but I'm not TOLD what time zone I'm being given the time in. I just stupidly assume that the time that is given for the game is what your watch will read WHERE THE GAME STARTS! That's a crazy assumption, no?

This is an example of the uber-dumbness of webmasters who think they're so smart, to use the IP to set the time zone you're seeing. Yes, from a programming standpoint, that's smart. But nope, from a general intelligence standpoint it's pretty inane.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, when doing eCommerce, and quoting times, GIVE THE DAMNED TIME ZONE!
