Anyone used/heard of Become?

Become = Shopping search engine

I came across Become.com and was wondering if anyone has used it or had experience with it. I guess it's a shopping based search engine.

The former senior exec of marketing and business devolopment for eBay just signed on to head Become's marketing and devolopment.

I know most of these sites are garbage but at least this one has some people with experience behind it.

Any thoughts? What about click fraud?

They've been aggressively crawling for the last year or more. Yet to see any organic referals from them ... (thats what matters at the end of the day).

All I know about them is it doesn't seem to deter them to receive nothing but 403's. It's nothing against them specifically. I just see no reason to have a shopping bot crawling a non-shopping site.

Can't be too harsh on them though. It's not like their dumb ol' bot is the only bot out there what doesn't take 403, or 410 for an answer, or what gets itself convinced that 301 means 'just kidding' ... nope, they are far from being the only dumb bot out there.
