Some web stores seem to skin their web store differently based on the time of the year. Does this help increase sales?

I always add a little seasonal flavor to my site, especially during Christmas and new years.

It seems to help. I believe it shows your clients that your website is up-to-date, and it is not one of those dead websites.

Good point Raymond. I would add that a little creativity goes a long way. Too staid/plain or too over-the-top becomes a turn-off; there is a happy medium to seek if you do this.

I would think it would depend on the product lines more than anything.

If you sell bulk steel, pretty hard to get seasonally excited about it :D

I was actually on a site the other day buying a few things. I noticed they had some Easter items and since I needed them, I bought them there. It saved me a trip to the store
