Highest Converting, User-Friendly PayPal Option?

Question for ecommerce pros who have experience in this area....

We are researching the best of the following 3 PayPal payment options to go with, based on which one is the most user-friendly (and historically highest converting) option, from among the following 3:

1. PayPal Express
2. PayPal Payments Pro 2.0 (PayFlow), or
3. PayPal Website Payments Pro (DoDirectPayment).

Our most important criteria for PayPal is that it be 1. The highest converting, and 2. The most User-friendly.

We suspect that the highest converting option will also be the most user-friendly...

(In other words, it likely lets users check out on our site, likely has a simple one-page checkout, and is the overall highest-converting option.)

We DON'T care if there's a monthly fee, as long it fits those two main criteria.

So please let me know your thoughts on which option is most user-friendly and highest converting, based on your experience?

An interesting stat I came across in a Google search, published in Feb 2019... "In the US, nearly 72% of the largest 100 retailers use PayPal."

Success leaves clues.

Your thoughts on the best converting PayPal option, out of the following 3?

1. PayPal Express
2. PayPal Payments Pro 2.0 (PayFlow), or
3. PayPal Website Payments Pro (DoDirectPayment).

Note that we will still be offering other payment options, but we are trying to choose the
best converting checkout option that PayPal offers, from among those 3.

Thanks in advance.

It depends on your cart flow and checkout pages and checkout add-ons and how smoothly they all flow (they usually integrate differently).
So I think you'll need to test it for your case.

Good article here: [jilt.com...]

If you have a full dev crew and a good CRO who optimizes your flow extensively, Pro (your #3) will likely convert better.

Our Amazon Pay options get a lot more CR% mojo and Feedback love than PP.

Consumers are looking for one click checkout, which is often tied to the consumers favorite cell phone, and shopping app. At one time, not having Paypal could result in a lost sale, not anymore. Since we use Shopify and Shopify payments, customer have access to all Shopify Payment compatible apps, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, etc, etc.

Unfortunately, PayPal does not integrate with Shopify payments, when means we pay higher fees by enabling PayPal. Given the highly unlikely chance, that a customer will abandon a cart just because we don't offer PayPal; it's just not worth it, given the additional costs in fees.

So in summary, the Highest Converting, User-Friendly PayPal Option, is to not offer PayPal at all.
