Emailing to lots of recipients (NOT spam)?

Hello.
I was given an email list of 15,000 contacts from one of my colleagues. We'd like to send an email to all these recipients. What is the best way to do this?

The email is not spam, as it is targeted, relevant and we have permission from the source of the addresses (who are clients of our contact) to send the email.

We're looking for an efficient way to handle this. Any ideas?

thanks.

Efficient way exactly for what? To find a cheap way of sending mass emails?

The most important thing in your case is to be prepared to prove you have the permission of the owners of all these email addresses. If you can not prove that you can end up in a court of law for conducting spam activities.

Since when is spam illegal?

Anyways, it's not the relevant point, since we have clear permissions to use these addresses and this is *not* a case of spamming.

The question about efficienct has more to do with not sitting here blistering my fingers by sending these emails one-by-one (or ten-by-ten etc).

More curious about the best way to batch-send these emails.

thanks

Since when is spam illegal?

Wake up- it's been illegal for a long time now! Do a Google of "CAN-SPAM Act of 2003" for more info.

Anyways, it's not the relevant point, since we have clear permissions to use these addresses and this is *not* a case of spamming.

It's very relevant because you do *NOT* have clear permission to send to them! You stated they are contacts of one of your colleagues, not contacts of yours. They have never give *YOU* permission to e-mail them. Therefore, it *IS* SPAM in every sense, shape, and definition of the word.
