What's the best way to set-up an online registration system for a trade show?

My client would want to enable users to register entering their payment information, and then process the orders offline thru his merchant account.

What's the most efficient and cost effective way to accomplish this?

Any experiences anybody likes to share?

Looks like WebmasterWorld is doing ok with its (what many would call primitive) registration system on www.pubcon.com.
