I use Thawte secure certificate for my site. I know there are several companies that provide this but I was told they have some name brand recognition with shoppers.

anyhoo...

should I be displaying this Thawte logo on my shopping cart pages? all pages? no pages?

i want to establish my ecommerce site as a place to buy, not an amateur site. it looks good, but needs some sort of official stamp of approval on security. i went out and spent this money on a secure certificate i figure i should be able to let my customers know.

I would definately put it up there. I wouldnt think it would have to be in the most prominent position, just visible somewhere if users go looking for it

If you have credit card logos, somewhere near them -- to create the association that their cards are secure?

(Just thought of this... not sure if it would work or not)

A security logo that comes with your SSL cert is a good thing. Don't waste money on those dumb "Hacker Safe" security buttons, they are misleading.

As a shopper I look for the https and the padlock, as a site manager I feel customers like to see the logos people are visual mostly, and for screen readers the image alt tag can provide them with the needed information on site certificate.
