credit card processors

any good ones out there?

we are selling a w.loss product and have encountered a problem with our cc processing. besides being an ass, he has no urgency in helping and treats us as if we are a bother.

as you can imagine we are looking for someone else (who appreciates their customers).

should we try and go abroad?

any help is appreciated.

I use AMS, and have been very satisfied with their service so far. It's a gateway that's integrated with Authorize.net. We recieve a good rate (2.19% plus $0.30 per transaction), and their customer support is fairly responsive and helpful.

We use Wells Fargo Bank (search for Wells Fargo Online Merchant Services). $99 set-up fee plus $31/mo. I don't recall what their discount rate is but it was competitive when we were evaluating vendors. They integrate with Authorize.net. Excellent customer service.

it really depends on what country you are in and what MAP you are using now. When you say "he" that is scary since a MAP usually has hundreds of employees.

If you are in the United States, you have hundreds of choices - some of the larger MAPs are Chase, Paymentech, Cardservice. And then you have thousands of agents to choose from

I use Innovative Merchant Solutions which is an Intuit Company. Good Customer service. My Fees after faxing them and basically demanding they lower or I leave are below. Just something to guage off of.

MERCHANT FEES:

Monthly Customer Service Fee - $14.99
Qual - 2.25%
Non-Qual - 3.70%
Per Transaction - .25
AVS Per Transaction - .10
Batch Closing - .25

GATEWAY FEES:

Monthly Gateway Fee - $10.00
Per Transaction - .05

If you are in US, [snip]url[/snip] can assist you for getting merchant account, If you need good solution for Europe you can look worldpay ( u need to wait for 4 to 6 week for your cash, though they are reliable), second option you can try with chronopay.
