Start Small from Offline to Online`

Hi all,,

I am in DM for about 4 years now, and about 5 in SEO. My mothers brother has 5 clothes shops in our neighbourhood, for about 6 months now he askes me for a start small eshop about shoes.

Names of the shops in Facebook

1. aaaa Shop "location" - (mostly shoes and casual)
2. aaaa Styleshop - (more expensive and brands clothes)
3. bbbb (kids clothes)
4. cccc (cheap casual clothes)
5. Franchise of a big England-Japan Clothes Company

He wants to start small with 50 shoes eshop and then expand. The aaaa name is the most famous in the area, so he propose me to name the eshop like aaaa.com or aaaashop.com

My question is: Should I name the eshop aaaa ? and put 1 location only in the website or all 5 locations ?
Should I choose a different independent name for the eshop so I wont restrict from the name and add all 5 locations ?

Are the B&M shops trading under different names?
Do they all have the same offer or is one upmarket, one budget etc?

For a consistent offer I would suggest a consistent brand across B&M and net.

More to the point:

If people already associate the aaaa name with shoes, then stick with that.

He wants to start small with 50 shoes eshop and then expand.

Expand to more than 50 styles of shoe, or expand to things other than shoes? You may want to register aaaashoes.com too, whether or not you end up using it. A business name doesn't have to involve their current primary product (looking at you, Canadian Tire).

What is B&M ?

People know the name aaaa for more than 80 years in the area. They know it sells clothes and shoes. The aaaa A sells about 80% shoes 20% cloths and the aaaa B sells the opposite.

Expand to clothes, private brand clothes, addidas anniversary shoes etc

Brick and Mortar. A physical business operating out of a physical location, as described in your first post. (Similarly, "dead-tree book" by contrast with ebook.)
