It's not known if this was a hack or theft by someone inside the company, but it sure does devalue the currency, and puts a cloud over the safety and security.

That's nothing compared to the Mt. Gox drop, but it was a pretty big dip in the price. Looks like the Bitcoin price bottomed out quickly and is steadily rising again. I heard a tech news story talking about this and some security company was denying that it was a hack. Wonder if it was an inside job...
