I will be starting my ecommerce site soon. I am looking for an email marketing software (not for spam) but to email my existing clients, contact and recommendations as well as members of my industry and union. Which email marketing software would you recommend that gives me all features that are necessary to carry out a good marketing campaign as well as to use as a communication tool.
Also because I will be selling some downloadble software on my site, I am afraid of fraud. I would like a emailing software that can give you information about the user. I have heard of software that can let you know of information like where the person is from according and if he has opened his mail as well clickthroughs and if they have forwarded the email. I know there is a site that is called mailtracking.com but they don't handle larger amounts of emails.
DO you know of any software or companies that has a good email software.
Anyone knows if Infacta's Group Mail or Gammadyne is good? They don't have that tracking thing though!
Any other suggestions?
Gammadyme seems a little overwhelming to me - I can't get past the samples on their web site. HAven't actually tried it.
MAch 5 e-mailer is pretty handy - although it is a little clumsy at handling in-line images (a feature in the newest version). You may want to look at it. It too handles plain text and HTML simultaneously, and reads Excel files directly.
If you're looking for a desktop solution, you might look into MailLoop.com, and Post-Master.net
If you want to go with a script hosted on your own server, Willmaster.com offers a number of comprehensive and feature rich options.
If you would prefer to go with third party list management check out ProAutoResponder.com, FollowUpMarketer.com, and SparkList.com
Lastly you can consider an integrated e-commerce / email marketing solution such as 1automationwhiz.com or 1shoppingcart.com
If you're looking for a desktop solution, you might look into MailLoop.com, and Post-Master.net
Checked out both sites, as I am always looking for something better. Mailloop has a real high (don't take this personally :)) "sleaze" feel to the web site, with a very high "infomercial" quotient. Post-Master does seem to have some interesting database capabilities.
Any personal insights on the two programs? Strengths and weaknesses? Auto-responders, database capabilities, filtering, error logging/resending? They cost about twice as much as the next most expensive option I'm considering, so I would appreciate added input. Thanks.
If you get past the hype, it's a well respected product, though I've heard it takes a while to get the hang of the user interface.
PostMaster on the other hand is a piece of cake to manage. I have a great deal of experience with using their web based version, PostMasterOnline, which shares all of the same features.
Being that I don't know exactly what your needs are, I can't say whether it's worth paying twice the price of the other solution you're looking at. If all of your needs are well met by a more affordable option, grab it.
I'd suggest looking at their features side by side, and if you have any questions, drop PostMaster an email. When I was comparing options I gave them a call and wound up talking to the developer personally. He was very friendly, not a hard sell, and incredibly helpful.
I am a little confused now with so many recommendations. I was pretty much set on Group Mail by Infacta but they were a little slow in responding to my questions making me fearful that their customer service isn't that good.
I do agree that MailLoop is a little cheezy and also expensive and Gammadyne's interface still boggles me. How does GLOCK compare to Group Mail?
Are all of them easy to use and setup?
Also I am still interested to know if any software offers the ability to track your emails if to see if the recepient has opened it and where does the recepient come from. I want to have this feature to checkup on probable fraud cases as my site is selling downloadable files which may be targeted by fraudsters.
Thanks again for all the suggestion.
