Hi, I am going to have some custom asp software writted for me by a programmer.

I will own the license for the finished software.

Does anyone know if there are any template type legal aggreements out there I can use to confirm I own the software license.

I know It would be better with a lawyer but I do not have htg ebudget for that but would feel better if there was some sort of aggreement in place.

cheers

Hi, I have done a search but most of the offerings I found were 10-20 pages of legalise which I did not like the look of.

All I really want is a document to sign/transfer ownership rights of the software to me. Anything other than that can be covered by me not paying the programmer if it is not up to scratch.

Does anyone know of something suitable?

cheers

Check out the rent-a-coder agreement (try and list a job, you'll see the agreement in the first few steps, don't remember exactly where). Not too long, fairly straight forward.
