I recently found a good shopping cart software and I am now looking for a good content management system to complement it. I need something that is customizable and will allow me to add categories, subcategories, and product pages. Then I need to cross link related articles and products.

I would also like a program that allows me to use variables. So I could take the product names, descriptions, etc... and insert them on other places of my site.

Any suggesstions are appreciated.

How technical can you get?

I've been using mambo / joomla a fair bit and they have the ability to add mosbots which allow you to code variables into an article and process them at run time.

Mambo's problem is that they allow sections and categories ( 2 levels ), so you have to get pretty creative on how you organise your content pyramid.

shri, I normally like to keep things as simple as possible. I really dont need anything to fancy, just a system that will allow me to structure my content and provide related article links. I may actually just design something in access and merge it into my current cart but I wanted to see what was avialable first.

I am going to use ultracart, they are amazing. My buddy uses them and has nothing but good things to say about them....and he is a programmer himself.
