When you find a good one let me know. Most that I've looked at are expensive if they are good. We use whoson, but supprot is weak.

Sure Mike I'll keep you updated.

ClickTracks Looks really nice, but kind of expansive

DeepMetrix also looks nice

WebCEO also looks kind of good but they charge by page view?

So I don't know, anyone know any cheap but reasonable alternative?

I got whoson working...once you get it working it works better good. It also saves the info in either mysql or sql server, so you can use it elsewhere. Just don't expect real good customer support. It takes 3-4 days to get a question answered.

how about the traffic blazer which comes with every godaddy or whatever account? Those any good?... I think it doesn't include something which could help you calculate ROI.. how are sales made..ect.

This thread is your best bet as a starting point: Which stat package is right for you? [webmasterworld.com]

Ditto... That thread was superb.

Is there one economical package that's good both for ROI tracking and for user behavior?

A client had been using WebTrends Live to provide real time info that went beyond his analytics package... to provide page visit data, etc... but changes in WTL have caused him to drop it.

I've seen iWeb Track mentioned as a good alternative. Has anyone had any experience with iWeb Track?

I used WebTrends from 1997 - 2005. I recently made the switch to ClickTracks and have been extremely satisfied. I have never seen another tool that allows me to segment my visitors absolutely any way I want to...this is very powerful for understanding user behavior.

Both tools are very good, however, to quote an industry authority, "all web analytics tool suck...its just a matter of finding the one that sucks the least".

I'm using Sales-n-Stats Live for monitoring my web sites. This software provides an interesting combination of web analytics and live support solution. I like the idea when web statistics, comunication history and visitors behaviour logs are located in one database providing excellent resourse for data mining.
BTW, there is a free version of Sales-n-Stats for small business.

We currently use HBX. Very expensive, but the best in terms of segmentation and tracking conversions. Granularity of the data is impressive. Previously we used WebTrends, but we found that it provides incomplete data especially in terms of referral sources.
