A couple weeks back I noticed PP withdrawals were going through the next day. Today they sent an email saying this is a "pilot program" which will be implemented on Oct 1. I'm not sure if there's a certain criteria to meet for this or what, but it's a welcome change. Maybe they're feeling a little pressure from some other payment start-ups lately.

Yeah I noticed this a couple of weeks ago and got the email as well.

It is a very welcome change.

On the down side, I noticed they extended their window for buyers to file a dispute, to 180 days.

You mean withdrawals from the paypal account back to the business bank account?

For over a year now this has been instant. I click withdraw, enter the amount and it's in the buisness bank account quicker than I can login to check it.

Prior to that it did take 3-5 days but certainly the last year or so it's an instant withdrawal.

It may be different in the UK. This is only lately in the US.

Does the speed of transfering depend on what country you live in? I have friends in Europe who say that the process takes 5 days.

Could this be an indication that PP is realigning practices to ordinary banking to avoid having "regs" or "government" get involved?
