Summer nuttiness

I'm just curious if anyone else experiences this. I've been doing this a pretty long time now, and this seems to be more than a coincidence... Every summer, the 'goofy' factor goes through the roof for us. People with weird issues on products... Strange customers... Bizarre questions... General confusion... It seems like it all triples during the summer. I don't know what it is.

School kids with suddenly too much time on their hands? People's brains shutting down from the heat? (Or brains freezing, for those in the southern hemisphere.)

I don't know... but it's something. Forgot to mention shipping... Lost/destroyed stuff quadruples in the summer. Just today... Two identical packages went out Friday. First one got there, second one disappeared between here and the sorting facility. $500 worth of stuff gone... Vanishes without a trace. And of course, they have no idea what happened. Had a guy email three times today, with the entire body of his message entered into the heading field on the emails. Had another email from a guy asking how much money we make, because he wants to start a similar business. Twilight-zone.

Lost/destroyed stuff quadruples in the summer.

It doesn't necessarily apply to shipping, but in general I'd expect to see lower productivity/more mistakes from:
1) people not paying attention to what they're doing because they'd rather be at the beach
2) people not completely knowing what they're doing because they're filling in for co-workers at the beach (or on vacation)

Nah... Summer is vacation time! That's right, folks, let that Brain take a Summer Holiday Right Now!

That's as good a reason as any... other than over-heated brains just don't think as clearly. :)

Its the wintertime for me, kids back at school so parents have way too much time on their hands.
