Once in a lifetime, what do I do?

Once in a lifetime, what do I do?

I have a dream project I spent years working on. My work is original, artistic, valuable and deserves to be seen by at least two or three thousand people.

I am certain my generous affiliate program will gain a loyal following, and actually help other people. I seem to be very confident, but I'm the guy who never really knew how to market and get attention, traffic, or referrals.

"Developement and time spent" cost me a bundle, so I'm not looking to spend money. I will not spam e-mail or forums. So what do I do?

How do I get around 3,000 people to spend 4-6 minutes looking at a honest, valuable, once in a lifetime ground floor opportunity?

Thank you.

no knowledge of promotion / marketing and not willing to spend time / money on it, best thing is to sell it to someone who does - anything less is probably a waste of the time and effort you've put in so far

I agree. If you are not savvy with marketting & unwilling to spend money, you need to stop wasting your time online.

I suggest that you search for "internet marketing forum" in Google. Join one of these forums and ask whether some experienced marketeers are willing to partner with you.

I suggest that you don't use wording like "spend 4-6 minutes looking at a honest, valuable, once in a lifetime ground floor opportunity"

I get dozens of emails a day about those. LOL

Just checked and Google produces 193,000 listings for "ground floor opportunity."

"Once in a lifetime" appears there almost 3 million times.

I hear the words 'ground floor' blah blah blah and I run a mile.

Thank you all, for the good advice.

How will you know to recognize, the "one time" you should be listening? :)

I take the blame for not being clear enough. I have marketing knowledge, but not wisdom. I never really put the good ideas to work.

What are some of your favorite ways to promote for "free", or "$50 bucks at a time"? I am very aware of the need to use targeted keywords.

Thank you.

My comment on internet marketing forum still stand. It seems that your idea may be best promoted by affiliates or joint venture partners through their own opt-in e-mail lists for people looking for market opportunites.

A recent example of this approach is a $97 ebook which is the top selling product in Clickbank of which much of the sales was done through the affiliate marketing through e-mail lists. I would say let experienced marketers do the sales copy and promotion for you. If they wish to do PPCs or offer rebates to customers, then it is their business.

whatever it is you've created, you're hoping to advertise to the same audience as lots of other companies

they will be advertising on adwords, overture etc etc etc - why? because that's where the target audience is - it's where your target audience is too - if you don't pay, you don't play

if you want to do it all for free, i'd suggest submitting to DMOZ (that's your free internet marketing done) then do something newsworthy that'll get you some publicity for free - streak across the whitehouse lawn or something with your web address painted across your bottom ........... you could end up in the newspapers, even interviewed on TV ..... you might get locked up, but hey, it's all free (or you might get a $50 fine!)

One time?

Heck, of those 193,000 "ground floor opportunities," I'd eliminate the ones that don't claim to be honest, thereby whittling the stack down to 192,000. By culling those not related to Nigerian oil ministers or princes the pile might drop under 100,000.

If I devoted by life to the task I might find three or four legit "ground floor opportunities."

If 2,000-3,000 people should see this and I am one of the 1 billion people online, I will play the odds and assume that I am probably not one of the "chosen" who should see it. And most of the other 1 billion probably feel the same way.

Given the very small target pool, I wonder how many marketers would even bother with it, unless you're planning to give a huge commission on conversions.

Sometimes, it's tough to ask questions, without "misleading the public".

We are preparing to launch a very generous affiliate program, and I only need a small number for the initial outreach. After that, quality products, and high-commissions (in popular, hot markets) will "do the recruiting for us."

This is why I chose such a low number. Thank you, for your advice.

Hi,

Thanks for your advice. I will use Google to get some answers on my own. Do you have a favorite Internet marketing forum, or two, where I can "recruit" (in the manner you are suggesting), without being viewed as "forum Spam"?

Thanks again, Happy New Year. :)
