Ecommerce Loyalty Programs?

we presently use permanent YT, FB discount codes together with random sale price reductions.

i am interested in using a loyalty points program for online purchases but don't know if it would be of any significant benefit nor do i have any experience in using one..

can anyone therefore please provide any input on this?

Check out Loyalty Solutions. I'm not sure if they can help with exactly what you mentioned but I know they offer several different options along those lines.

Amasty makes a loyalty program for Magneto based stores. At around $130 it's not a bad deal.
