:( Seems login for paypal members is busy

I've been trying to login with my paypal account for the past 40 minutes and without any luck able to get in. Instead im greeted with the following message:

An error has occurred.

Because we are currently experiencing heavy traffic to our site, we were unable to complete your request. Try clicking the 'Refresh' button on your browser. If you are still unable to access the site, please try again later.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience.

Just me, or are others experiencing the same issues. Is this stopping people from being able to buy things from our stores also? I remember all the scares of people being locked outta their accounts, hope this is a bug on their behalf and their server is all loaded up and busy :)

Checking to make sure I'm not crazy now the homepage says its under maintaince :) heheh w00t!

Just morning issues I guess :) tis' a.o.k but my next question is when theyre down for maintance can web surfers still buy stuff or does it give the maintance messages also to them?

I can get in with no problems. I guess it depends on why they are down as to if your customers can still order. If its planned maitanence, I am sure that they make arrangements for the commerce end to still work. If its a glitch... Well, you never know.

With PayPal, though they're generally excellent on everything, the best thing is to get everything taken care of right away, since I don't always see the maintenance notices. I generally transfer funds out as soon as I get notification of them, just so I don't get busy and forget, and leave in just what I want to stay there. There's a pretty consistent set balance left there most of the time.

I take payments through PayPal on a constant basis, both credit card and echeck (which some people don't know about) and also pay for some web hosting using their payments. I've never yet had one single problem with them. I don't think anyone's ever matched what they offer, and now that they're handling multiple currencies they're likely to grow more useful.

They're solid and reliable, in spite of the silly name.
