Calculating VAT on the order in Euros

hi,
My product prices are shown in Euros. Now I need to calculate VAT on the order.

Should I first convert the product price in Pounds , then calculate VAT on it and then convert the VAT back into Euros.

Or shall I simply charge 17.5% on the Euro price.

You'd need to check with somebody who's qualified to give definitive advice, but I believe you simply charge 17.5%. And you charge 17.5% regardless of which country in the EU you're selling to as you're collecting UK VAT.
