Well it is only just around the corner.

What is everyone experiencing this year. Has the rush been earlier, late or just like last year.

I'm working on a new ecommerce site this Xmas so just trying to judge when lift off was or will be in terms of traffic and sales.

Anyway wishing everyone a very fruitful online Christmas for 2005.

Seems pretty much the same so far - started at the beginning of Nov. I do get the impression there's more apathy about it than there was last year, so I expect there will be more of a rush in December.

For me, usually starts getting busier now and then really kicks off the 3rd week in November all the way through to around the 20th December when it dies until the 1st week of Jan - already have the endless supply of caffeine and sugar to keep me going for a month!

Christmas is the slow season for us. Things start going down hill in October and from Mid Nov to Christmas is Dead. I can't wait until Dec 26. By early January things are going strong.

The first week of November was about 25% down for us over the first week last year. However, today seems to be looking pretty good.

You never can tell. The last 6 years, our busiest month has been December, but in 2004, November did much better than December. So far, it looks like we are going to be back to our normal this year.

The media say we are in for a bad christmas this year with everyone losing their jobs and what have you.
Our online sales are down 60% in the last 2 months.

Where is it that you are talking about?

I think the economy is fairly strong. It is an especially good time if you sell gasoline or heating oil. ;-)

Have had the same thing. Been feverishly trying to establish where the hole is on our side... no luck. Have not seen too many people confirm this, that's why we have been so concerned that the problem lies on our end of things.

Wonder how many others have seen substantial drops in on-line sales in Oct/Nov?

A whole new bundle of jobs losses have been annouced in teh defence industry some of which are based in Colchester.

Friends with bricks and morter stores are saying this is a really quiet period and many small shops have shut down.

Things are not looking good.

Are you folks suggesting that the economy is turning down in the entire UK? Or, is it just localized in your area?

Here is Canada the economy is expanding nicely, and it is booming like never before in Alberta. Employers in Alberta can not find employees no matter what wage they offer.

We have been recieving Christmas orders for the past week. Our sales are up 100% over last year at this time. I hope things turn around for you guys.

We are down 20% so far for November 2005 vs November 2004. Lets hope mild weather is a factor why people are not thinking about present buying yet...

I am stocked up and ready to go-- and we are barely seeing any more activity than a usual - no-holiday- month.

My fingers are crossed.

I am near Toronto and I get my share of oil revenue...... by buying shares in oil companies.

Things are great here in Vancouver Canada - Economy bustin' a nut all over - Every moron that is mortgaged to the teats thinks they are RICH because their 450 sq ft condo has increased in value by 20%.

Though are sales are mostly US based - we are up 168% for October and even more so for Nov so far - Xmas 2005 kicks BUTT so far!

Today is being very slow for me. I think a lot of people have taken off work to do shopping.

Yesterday was our busiest day ever. Odd because people now have to pay $$$ for expedited shipping to get their goods in time for Christmas.

Today has been steady - but I think the peak for us was yesterday.

Well it's all over bar the shouting for me, and we have taken this month, just under half what we took last december up to the same period.
Still lots of orders, but for much smaller amounts.

Having suffered through Jagger, I can't say how much of that is due to reluctance to buy or what.
