Had a friend ask me about setting up a shopping cart for about 50 or so items for his family's business. I told him that I could do anything he required in terms of creating the site. I'm very good w/XHTML/CSS.. all that stuff, but I was wondering what would be the best solution for a small business like that and a shopping cart. I've dealt w/osCommerce before, as well as Miva Merchant, but I'd like something different for this site. Miva is a bit too big, along w/the requirement for a payment gateway... is just a bit too much for that site. osCommerce is nice, but they want a site that mainly features their company, what they do, who they are, and has their shop as a compliment to the site, rather than the whole site itself. The other psuedo-requirement is that they would like to use paypal.
My question is if anyone has heard of software or a set of scripts that could accomplish this. I know my way around PHP and MySQL as well, so that's not a problem. I'd just like to get my hands on some code that I can incorporate into their site, rather than making it all of their site.
