I need some insight on a Canadian merchant account provider

First of all, I'm Canadian.
I had decided to go with Merchant-Accounts.ca, after checking out a bunch of merchant account companies, and their pricey packages.

A manager at InternetSecure continued to pester me, though, trying to get me to sign up. So I told her I was going with Merchant-Accounts.ca, because of their lower rates and better package.

<snip>

What's the deal?
Has anyone had experience with Merchant-Accounts.ca? Are they Canadian, and do they actually issue merchant accounts?
I've been talking with one of their reps for the past few weeks, and it didn't seem like they were frauds.
Is InternetSecure just trying to slander them?

Can someone clear up my confusion?

thanks

I have not dealt with them but looking thru their site a little, it seems they are probably an agent that has relationships with a number of processors and gateways. They then set you up with the correct processor depending on your needs / location

I like PSIGate for canadian merchant accounts. I looked into a lot of them (merchant-accounts.ca too i think) and PSIGate was the most approachable in my case.

Another good one is BeanStream. I've used them for a few clients and they have a good system/rates. They couldnt process for my company though because we provide hosting (restricted busines, go figure)
