Likelyhood of fraud from Russia?

A few days ago my site has been featured in a Russian community and I have been getting some sales from Russia. I haven't sent any of these orders yet because I am not sure how likely these orders are fraud. Other than the orders are from Russia, the orders all looked quite legitimate. Nothing particular about these orders can suggest that they could be fraud, except for the fact that they are from Russia.

Has anyone got any experience in Russian orders? Is online fraud from Russia as rampant as Nigeria/India/Indonesia? Thanks.

I've sent a few orders to Russia with no problem. It depends I would imagine on the forum where you are mentioned. If its a 'this is fab, check it out'and the forum relates to your business then great, but if it's a dogdy forum that people who aren't necessarily interested in what you sell read, then I'd be more cautious.

Hello! I`m from Russia :-)) In big cities
e-shopping becomes more and more popular now, lot`s of my friends buy something in a western shops.

If these orders look like normall orders (not very big and not very expensive), i`d offer you not to worry about it.

i don't think i've ever had an order from russia - but if i did, i'd be wary - it's the "eastern bloc" connection - get plenty of frauds from the former "eastern bloc", although nigeria still tops the league .......

I have got several fraudulent orders from Russia before, but they were all made by credit cards that were not issued by Russian banks (i.e. hacked)

India is never ever considered as rampant as with those countries. However you can add Vietnam into your list as most of the fraud orders are being generated from that country too.

If you apply your common sense, you can identify it a fraud order in first glance.
