Shopping carts with stock control for options

What's out there?

I need to make products "in stock" or "out of stock" based on product options available in stock.

I know OSCommerce have a contribution to take care of that. Are there any other free or low price carts out with a option inventory control like that?

I believe CubeCart can, and know that Zen Cart does.

zen cart says they can't, right on the website. coming in a future release... unless I missed something?

Maybe I'm confused on what you're asking -- Zen Cart does handle inventory and allows you to put "Out of Stock" and "In Stock" messages. Isn't that what the original post was about or is it my turn to be missing something?

I have the funny feeling that I'm missing something in the question, because I don't know of any shopping carts (except maybe the most basic) that don't provide the function that I described above. I must be missing something.

Nevermind, I see what you're after. Yeah, that might be a little difficult to find without writing or otherwise obtaining something custom.
