Customers in my survey insist that as well as the check-out page taking their credit card info, the page requesting shipping/billing info should also be a secure (https) page.
This is all doable with Dansie, but when det up, the page displaying the shopping basket also becomes a secure page. The PROBLEM, is that with the browsers Netscape and FoxFire, clicking the "Continue Shopping" button (from the basket page) activates a nasty pop-up warning of a security risk. Although this is a moot point, as there's no sensitive information on the page, it IS scaring away customers.
I've been discussing this with the programs author, and while he agrees this could be an "issue", so far he is unable or unwilling to devise a "work around" that would maintain the current functionality of the shopping cart.
