While working on my own CJ/eBay affiliate website, I ran into this press release. What gets me curious is on this particular site, once you click a state, then enter a zip code on the next page, you are taken to an "eBay local homepage" full of eBay categories, all clickable. (ex. http://foo/zip/IL/60635) Then you have the ability to click on a sub category and finally, you see all the eBay auctions in that particular sub category, all sorted by distance from the zip code you entered.
I'm wondering to myself, it's easy to scam people when they are thousands of miles away, but when you have the ability to drive right to their home or business and pick up eBay auctions that you have won, the buyer has the upper hand. Shipping and handling can be avoided all together as well. This may hurt sellers who do profit from shipping and handling. Any thoughts?
