Hi All,

I transferred money from New Zealand to India through an Australian company. The Australian company sent the money through Bank of America to a Bank in India. I got the account wrong and bank in India said money bounced back. But my Australian company said money did not bounce to their account. What should I do? Did I loose all the money?

Please help
thanks

The 'money' must be lying unclaimed in some bank. You will need to follow the initial routing carefuly to determine where the funds are presently lying. Then get it back ..through your bank ofcourse.

It usually takes some time with international payments. If the money bounced back in India it will take several days until the amount is credited back to the bank account of the Australian company. I once transfered a larger amount from HSBC Hong Kong to China. The transfer could not completed because I had not written out the full name of the company in China and it took more than 10 days until the amount was back in Hong Kong.
