ROI Affiliate program: does is work?

So many clicks, so zero money!

Folks:

I signe up with ROI Rocket as an affiliate, and have received 1044 clickthroughs on their banners ... and not a single sale. (Note that some of the products aren't even things for people to buy, but rather stuff they can sign up for). More than a thousand clickthroughs is *remarkable* to me; I've never approached that with Amazon or Commission Junction. But zero sales? That sounds waaaaaaaay funky to me, and makes me wonder whether RR is, in fact, making lotsa sales, but keeping the money and showing me "$0.00" in my stats.

I had been replacing my CJ banners and links with those of RR's, but I'm stopping now because I'm suspicious.

Has anyone else any comments to share? Have you made any sales? If you did, how many clickthroughs did you receive? Did you actually get paid?

I'm so frustrated by all this; I finally find a program with things people seem to *want*, but according to RR, they don't want them enough to complete the sale!

I'd appreciate any feedback.

If I was you, I'd find someone else. 1000 click-throughs should be generating at least 10 sales, I would think.

We found that the "standard" 1% conversion rate is bunk, because so much of it depends on the quality of traffic. For untargetted traffic, a 0.1% conversion rate is golden and a 0.001% rate is much more common.

Also look at the tracking and referrals. Are Bot clicks from Yahoo, google, msn etc etc being counted in your referrals? it may be that 999 of those remarkable clicks are bots...
