Getting into other markets

Hi guys,

I am currently in one market and doing well via ecommerce - I've been doing this market for 8 years and know the ins and outs.

I want to get into other markets, but don't know where to find a good, trustworthy distributor. Many of the ones I find want to charge you for a website, and all kinds of funky stuff. I can make my own site, I just need a distributor that has it in stock, will drop ship, and gives me decent prices.

I want to sell pet supplies and electronics (different sites).

Where can I look for recommendations for these distributors?

Thanks

I am not quite following you. What the distributors have to do with websites?

Best prices you could get from manufacturers/producers. Distributors are already men in the middle so you end up selling higher than others. If you can contact manufacturers directly you could get better deals.

To work with manufactures, they require a big buy in.

As far as the websites, I mean that sometimes they say... "we're a full service XYZ warehouse, and we even give you your own website, so you can sell directly off your site!". It just seems like a gimmick.
