How good are they as a payment option?

I'm wondering about adding prepaid cards as a payment option on my site... there are couple of them that I've been thinking of, but I'm not sure how widely they're spread and used. I had couple suggestions from my costumers, so I wanted to see YOUR experience with that.

Where are you from?
If you're located in Europe I suggest you try to get in contact with paysafecard.
I've never offered payment through it, but I've been using it for years as a customer and imo it's the best prepaid card there is for online transactions.

Over here (UK) they all seem to be members of Visa or Mastercard anyway so it should be transparrent to the merchant.

I've looked at this Paysafecard and it seems as the best solution indeed....

But i wonder, how secure can it be? I mean if someone pays me with Paysafecard, and gives me those pin codes, won't they be able to use it as well?

I wanna be open to those bellow 18 years as well... so that's why i'm looking into this payment option...

Thank you for all replies!

If you are marketing to minors - you are going to have a lot of problems. In the United States, you cannot enter into a contract with a minor. And if you do, the minor can easily just say I changed my mind. Once they do this, you will be out that money.

I remembered when I signed up with Paypal years ago, I just had to agree to the terms - stating I was over 18. I don't know if they have changed that, but this is one reason why some merchants do not want to deal with Paypal. Plus if Paypal (or any company) is relying on a person having a credit card to verify age, this is against the MasterCard / Visa regs. Even if someone has a credit card - this does not mean the person is 18. I know with American Express that you can get a gift card and then call them to give them your address - this helps users pay online with that gift card.

Well, you can't start eating a cookie and go back to store saying "oops, I wanted a choco one"

The site's about marketing and I'm already working on PSC.
It's going well so i think it's a good solution for minors and everyone else...

I dislike paypal... Had some harsh experience with them, and since then i try avoiding it in a wide circle.

Thanks for all your replies :) I appreciate it
